For those of you not familiar with The Mango Tree Cafe, please click on the link above to read more about the book. And, additionally, if you haven't read the book, do so. At the risk of sounding conceited, this book is touching, poignant, funny, action-packed and most importantly, spins a great yarn.

Background on The Authors, Solomon & Simpson

Alan Solomon
Alan Solomon is a gifted author who has worn many hats during his professional life. He is originally from New Zealand and developed an interest in Asian culture. His travels have taken him all over the world where he has worked as a consultant, security officer, police officer, restaurant owner and again as a security officer where one of his duties was to assist the Chinese police with security for the Beijing Olympic Games.

He currently lives in Beijing, China where we communicate via the internet only. We've seen each other's photos (obviously) but neither of us has phoned or talked to the other. First and foremost, he is a writer.

Taryn Simpson
Taryn Simpson is a professional freelance ghostwriter and counts one of her major accomplishments as becoming a refugee from Corporate America. She has worked in the Human Resources arena for over 15 years and finally made the decision to quit existing and to start living. She met Solomon when he was needing a co-writer to assist him with his novel, "The Mango Tree Cafe, Loi Kroh Road." Simpson often recounts the story of when she read first read the story; "I love this novel from the first word. Any book that captures me mind and spirit and has me in tears at the end counts as one of those books I'll remember forever."
